We took Linden for his scheduled check-up with paediatrician on Wednesday 25th. Dr Cohen immediately noticed and commented on the rash on Linden’s cheeks which gave me a level of confidence that he was paying attention. We went through our list of concerns that included:

  • a click in Linden’s right knee
  • regular coughing, hacking, grunting noises
  • bowel regularity,
  • and whole bunch of other stuff

He assured us that everything we mentioned was normal and even common. The rash turns out to be a hormonal rash that will resolve itself over time without intervention. However he did provide a prescription for some steroid cream to apply on Linden’s cheeks if it becomes significantly inflamed.

Dr Cohen then did a full check-up on Linden, measured and weighed him. So Linden is now 4.23kg (sans clothes and nappy), 55cm long with a head circumference of 37cm. Super!

Anyway we left very satisfied that Linden is doing fine and we were doing well too!

At 5 weeks old Linden breaks the 4 kilo mark. He currently weighs 4.15kg (this includes light clothing & a nappy…hopefully a clean one).

Soon I won’t be able to hold him with the ‘one arm grip’. He is certainly giving my arms a good workout!!!

Linden’s 1 month birthday celebration was a family affair. The cakes we got for Linden was yummy, pity he didn’t get to taste them.

We tried to add a traditional Chinese atmosphere by having red dyed eggs as part of the celebration. However the eggs did not turn out as expected, not only were they not red, they didn’t even turn a shade of pink doh!!!

Here are some photos of  Linden at 1 month old, he has certainly filled out, especially his chubby little thighs – they’re like chicken drumsticks.
