We finally got around to buying a playpen for Linden last week. Luckily the one we wanted was on sale at Toys R Us, bonus! So after looking around and reading various reviews, both positive and negative, we decided on the Jolly Versatile playpen. It’s colourful and supposedly the most secure and stable playpen available, well we’ll have to see about that. Linden is very curious so eventually he will figure out a way to escape and climb over the walls. I wonder how long it will take him? And when that day comes we’ll have to find another way of locking him up, I mean protecting him :P

When I need a free moment now, I can put him in the playpen and he will happily play by himself for a while. He likes to grab hold of the walls to pull himself up and bounce up & down like an energizer bunny :D No wonder Mr ‘Happy Feet-Busy Body’ is so slim, bouncing must use up alot of calories.

If Linden continues this good behaviour, he might be eligible for early parole and visitation rights :P

It wasn't me! The milk was already on the LCD TV when I got there!

Sitting pretty

I noticed that Linden was sitting up right playing with his toys in the playpen the other day. Prior to this he was sitting lopsided or bent over but now at about 8 months old he has learned to sit up properly and with very good posture. He likes to sit with his left leg straighten out and right leg bent at the knees, it looks like he is trying to stretch his hamstrings :) He use to play lying on his tummy but not anymore, sitting is now the ‘new’ in thing to do.

Month 8 photos up!

This time around, I’ve been a bit more punctual on getting Linden’s month 8 photos onto the Pictures page. You can view the gallery by clicking HERE. Enjoy!

One of my favourite photos from this batch is this one…

Linden giving a coy look.

Another two of Linden’s teeth has erupted this week. This time it’s the top two teeth erupting simultaneously and it looks like they’re going to be ‘Bugs Bunny’ teeth just like his Daddy’s. WHAT’S UP DOC!

They have been causing him quiet a bit of discomfort and he’s had some problems sleeping as a result of the pain. But despite the pain, Mr ‘Happy Feet- Busy Body’ still manages to bounce around and jump for joy.

So altogether Linden has four teeth now, two on top and two on the bottom. When he smiles you can see the ‘huge’ gap between his top teeth, it makes me laugh every time. Funny boy :D

A very Happy Father’s Day to Daddy Ivan :)

Linden gave his Daddy a coffee mug with the cutest finger painting design ever. And I made buttermilk pancakes with whipped praline butter, served with fresh strawberries for brunch. It was scrumptious if I say so myself :P Uncle Jon was in town, so after a very satisfying brunch we went to Manly for a late lunch (we had fish & chips of course) and a stroll to Shelly beach. It was a very nice day out, couldn’t have ask for better weather. Daddy Ivan was one happy chappy!
